Digital X-Rays
Digital radiographs significantly reduce your exposure to radiation while producing immediate, high-resolution imagery. We take digital x-rays annually and as needed to evaluate dental problems. Digital technology enables us to maintain your health history in our system and to easily share it with other healthcare professionals when needed.
Primescan Intra-Oral Scanner
Taking dental impressions is now more comfortable and less invasive. Our handheld scanner can be used chairside to take digital scans of your teeth and gums for use in diagnoses and planning the creation of a dental crown, dental bridge, or other restorations.
Digital scanning is also an important part of the Invisalign process, providing the digital imagery needed to create custom clear aligners that will gently reposition your teeth.
VaTech CBCT 3-D Scanner
The use of 3-D scans has greatly improved our ability to thoroughly evaluate dental problems and provide more accurate treatment. Our in-office CBCT scanner allows our dental care team to access comprehensive imagery of your teeth, gums, bone, and soft tissues. CBCT scanners use less radiation and produce more imagery when compared to traditional x-rays. The scanner will rotate around your head and use a cone-shaped beam that can capture a wide range of images for more accurate diagnostics.
CBCT scanning can provide measurements of your bone structure, the location of nerve tissue, and the ability to evaluate the condition of soft tissue such as the gums. All of this information supports more accurate treatment, especially for the strategic placement of dental implants.
